Background

I spent my first 12 years of legal practice working in firms recognised for their quality and performance.  I have acted for a wide range of clients, including individuals, small, large, national and international businesses, government enterprises, iwi and charities.  I have appeared before professional disciplinary boards, tribunals, authorities, the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, and I am experienced at mediation and other less formal dispute resolution practices.  I have been a territorial legal officer in the New Zealand Defence Force. 

 

I am an elected member of the Canterbury Branch Council of the New Zealand Law Society and I am a member of the Canterbury Employment Law Committee.
